HALLOWEEN

In our school we also celebrated Halloween. Some students made their own Halloween Costumes, the school was decorated with spiders, snakes, vampires, ghosts, witches. It was scary!! Some cooked witches' fingers.

On the day, every class visited other classes, made a performance and asked for sweets. Here you can see some photos of the day. IT WAS A LOT OF FUN!

We made the characters out of the story “Tiger who came to tea “out of playdoh.

We made primary  colours and secondary colours.

First class started   swimming this week.

We learned about Out of space .

2^nd class had a visit to a Bubble Show in Gorey library on Friday 16/11/12   to celebrate Science Week.

 We learned the song The Fields of Athenry .

We learned GAA hurling skills on Thursday.

Holly’s  Granny came to visit to tell us what it was like when she was small.

3^rd and 4^th 

A lady  called Deirdre  from Dogs Trust Ireland came to our school .

S he brought  two German Schnauzers  called Conán  and Sadbh.

She taught us  how to treat our dogs .

We started GAA hurling skills   on Thursday also.

We went to the Bubble Show with  2^nd class too.

We also went to an outdoor gym .

5^th and 6^th

 Classes Learned about Penal Laws in their History.

We were using protractors in Maths.

ENJOYABLE GAMES 

Our 5th grade students love to play different English games  outside.  Thanks to  a project,oranized by  Coca-cola company, our school had a different playground. This project is aiming to make old turkish games alive. so our students get to know these games. I wanted to combine these old Turkish games and English. My students love their new playground.Enjoy enjoy enjoy,pupils.

Let's save our planet !

We’ re cleaning the world is an ecological action whose aim is to take care of our environmert . We usually vorganise it in spring and late summer. On 15^th September every class with its form teacher took part in this event. We were walking along roads of our village. Our students picked up some rubbish , litter , plastic bootles and cans. They throw rubbish into one big plastic bag which then was put into the garbage . We’re take panticipare in this action because we think it’s our duty . We want to be friends with our planet. When you take care of enviromment you save your life! Remember! You mustn’t pollute the world!!

The meeting in Poland

The meeting with in the Comenius Project ,,Our place in space” took place in October 11th-14th in Strawczyn . There were 14 teachers from : Ireland , Great Britain , Turkey and Spain. They watched the school plays ,,Cracow dragon” and ,,The witches” and folk dances. The listened to the school choir , the youth orchestra. The teachers net Polish students. The guests visited Kielce , Tokarnia and Kraków ( Cracow ). They enjoyed the visit very much.

Monageer 9th November

Before our Hallowe'en break our school had a Hallowe'en  parade in our basket ball court. We all dressed up. Parents came to see us , we all had fun. 3rd and 4th classes played Hallowe'en games such as Bobbing the apple. Miss Owen gave us a giant marshmallow. 

When we came back from the mid term break Juniors and Seniors planted bulbs. They'll grow in spring.                 

We hope they will grow into big healthy flowers.
