CEIP 'Ana Maria Matute'

The P. E. teacher Susana, teacher Consuelo, teacher Concha, and her family have prepared, recorded and produced the folk dance DVD 'Sevillanas'. Children came to school dressed up in their flamenco dresses and had loads of fun.

Monageer October 26th

This year our posts are being written by Third and Fourth classes.

Junior Infants
Junior infants are doing Hallowe’en art. They are making cards , bat masks and spiders. They have lots of trouble keeping the black paint on the spiders.

Senior Infants and First Class

Senior infants and First class are doing Halloween art. They made bats and witches. Senior infants had lots of fun, working on the maths table. They also learned a Halloween poem.

First and Second Class

First and Second classes have been busy learning about our skeleton and the bones inside our bodies. They learned a song called Dem bones and a poem called Skeleton. You can see the song Dem bones on www.mightybook.com. In art they have been busy making pumpkins ,ghosts and witches.

Third and Fourth class.

We are doing Hallowe’en art such as sgraffito ,paper cats and skeletons and we learned about Hallowe’en traditions.

Every Monday we go swimming.

We are learning an Irish dance called the Siege of Ennis.

In History we are learning about our family tree and we interviewed our grandparents to find out what life was like for them when they were children.

Fifth and Sixth Class

Fifth and sixth are writing Halloween stories. They learned about Samhain and they learned a poem called The Witches spell.

Holiday

Summer holidays!

Summer Holidays In Poland started 1st July and ended 31st August. We could do everything we wanted. It was time for us to have a rest from school and grat opporutunity to learn about other places and countries . The weather was nice so we could travel we also played diffevent sports such as : football , volleyball , running and many more.

We also took part in an annual summer festival called ,,Strawczynada”. We had a wonderful time!

End of course in Seville

From the 5^th to the 7^th of June, students from the last course of primary went to the end of school trip to Lepe in Huelva. First we visited La Rábida, the place where Cristobal Colón left to discover America. We went into the boats and visited a museum. We stayed in a campus with cottages.

We did lots of activities. We swam in the pool, rowing, and we had a lot of fun.

Also we visited Coto de Doñana, a beatiful natural park. We went on a jeep around the beach. It was a great trip.

On monday the 11^th of june, all the children that finish pre-school had a nice academic event. They say goodbye to the pre-school to welcome primary school. They were very excited, and families, teacher and students enjoy it a lot.

On monday the 18^th we celabrated at school the II Matute's English Festival, were students from primary 2^nd to primary 6^th sang english songs. It was a really great event where children did their best to win great prices. The older students sang and danced songs of Back Street Boys band.

ŞAŞOĞLU GRADUTION SHOWS 2012

We came to the end of a school year in the end and all pupils prepared many performances and everyone joined, filled all places and they wathced these performances enjoying. 8th grade students graduated from our school. we say goodbye to them and we wish them a succesful academic life.
