May has been a very busy month in Monageer National School. It began with Ms. Nolan and Ms Owen going to visit Şaşoğlu Primary School in Kayseri. They had a great time. They brought back lots of photos. The weather was warm but sometimes it rained. They told us everyone made them very welcome.

Our school is a Green School and this month we were awarded our third Green Flag. This flag was awarded for our work on Water Conservation.

This month some of our pupils took part in the Schools County Sports. Pupils from First to Sixth Classes travelled to Bree. Mairead Fortune in Sixth Class won a gold medal in the 400m sprint and Matilda Dunne Cronin won silver for the High Jump
Third and Fourth Class took part in a hurling Blitz on Tuesday. They had great fun.
