ENJOYABLE ERCİYES TRIP

OUR PUPILS AND THE TEACHERS HAD A GORGEOUS TIME ON ERCIYES MOUNTAIN.WE WENT TO ERCİYES MOUNTAIN WHICH IS VERY CLOSE TO OUR SCHOOL.OUR PUPILS ENJOYED THIS TRIP VERY MUCH.THEY DID LOTS OF ENJOYABLE THINGS THERE.THEY GOT ON THE SLEDGES.THEY USED THE CABLE CARS,PERHAPS MILLION TIMES:))WE,THE TEACHERS JOINED THEM,TOO.OUR HEADMASTER JOINED US,TOO.THE WEATHER CHANGED SO MUCH.THERE WERE EVERYTHING.SNOW,SUN,FOG....BUT IN THIS WEATHER,WE ENJOYED VERY MUCH.WE DRANK TEA AND ATE SAUSAGE IN 2700 METRES.IT WAS SO EXCITING.

World Book Day

We recently celebrated 'World Book Day' at school by dressing up as a character from a storybook.

We brought our favourite book to school to share with our class mates.

During assembly, we had a costume parade.

5th March- 23rd March  The weeks of celebrations

Young learners
On 8th March We celebrated The Day of Women. That day there was a school play in which students of our school presented the story about the women, of course. It was funny. Boys gave girls small gifts and flowers. Boys from our class organised quizzes and games for girls. Girls were really happy and greatful.

The day of 21st March is a First Day of Spring. Pupils in Poland usually celebrate that day. They throw the effigy symbolizing winter into the river. Sometimes they wear funny colorfull costumes and make a parade on the streets. That day is usually free of typical lessons. Instead pupils do a lot of different things during school time. This year some classes went for hike on Perzowa Mountain.
We wore green clothes and took a picnic in the forest. we took blankets and packed lunch. We were singing spring songs, talking and laughing.

 

Infant children

We prepared a school play in order to say ,,goodbye'' winter and ,,welcome'' spring. We wore beautiful colourful costumes.In our class We could see,,Lady Spring'', some storks and other spring birds. Everyone wore special clothes decorated with beautiful flowers, green leaves, butterflies and bees.We said to everybody: WAKE UP! WAKE UP!SPRING IS COMING!!! :))

Pupils from Infantil were making our Spanish recipes in class. We´ve set them on the book of recipes.Our parents came to school and helped us. We liked very much the experience. Look at the dishes !. Delicious !!!!

Pupils from the 6th grade did a « Talent competition ». They danced in groups, sang and told funny jokes. We had fun on Friday !

Pupils from the 4th grade were picking up radishes in our school garden. In Spain we eat in salads or sometimes simply throwing them in water. Soon we returned to collect beans, which is what it grows the best on the ground.

We´ve celebrated “Pancake day “ at school . Pupils in Year 3 cooked some pancakes at home and we brought them at school. We ´ve put chefs hats and aprons, running with our pans and saying “Toss the pancakes”. It was funny!.

We have another project in our school with the playground games and sometimes we play other games on Friday. It´s very funny. All the pupils play at the same time.

CHARITY IN OUR SCHOOL

OUR PRECIOUS PUPILS WANTED TO BE IN A CHARITY FOR POOR PEOPLE. THEY MAKE CAKES,MUFFINS OR DIFFERENT PASTRIES. AND BY SELLING THESE PASTRIES, THEY MAKE MONEY AND THEY DONATE THIS MONEY TO POOR PUPILS OR FAMILIES. THIS CHARITY WORK WILL LAST FOR 2 OR 3 MONTHS.EVERY BREAK, THEY SELL STH AND THEY MAKE MONEY. KEEP DOING THAT,PUPILS.GO ON!!!!

2nd PLACE IN VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

OUR VOLLEYBALL TEAM HAD A GREAT SUCCESS. AFTER A LONG STREAK OF MATCHES, THEY HAD A GREAT SUCCESS. THEY GOT THE 2ND PLACE IN VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP WHICH WAS ORGANIZED IN OUR CITY. WAHT A GREAT SUCCESS! CELEBRATIONS FOR THEM!CONGRATULATIONS, ŞAŞOĞLU VOLLEYBALL TEAM.

Rochdale Music Festival

Musical performances

We have been very busy during the last 2 weeks, participating in the 'Rochdale Youth Festival of Performing Arts'.

The school choir sang two songs - 'The Rhythm of Life' from the musical 'Sweet Charity' and 'Here Comes the Sun' by the Beatles. They performed to an audience in the main hall in Rochdale Town Hall, so this was a special occasion.

The school recorder group played two pieces. One was a 'Tudor' dance with a drum accompaniment.

The guitar group played a piece called 'Pedro Verdi' and won an honours certificate.

Our school brass band came first and won a shield!

Febrary in Sevilla

The last weeks of Febrary we have done different activities at school.
We celebrated the day of the friendship on 14th February.
That day the pirates of Dos Hermanas visited our school.
We wrote a friendship card for a friend in English class.
Other children made truffes to share with their friends.

We have also celebrated the carnaval.
Little kids dressed  up reycling  material  in  different colors.



















They visited all primary classes























They sang in the corridors and in the hall festival songs.

The 28th of Febrary we celebrated the day of Andalusia. All courses have done lots of activities:

Infant talked about Blas Infante, a very important person for our comunity.

We have also done some art activities of Andalucia

Here is the picture of our flag with Hercules in the middle of it.

Higher levels have done activities with the computer.

We also had a tipical Andalucian breakfast, with olive oil and bread.

We danced sevillanas, a tipical dance of Spain
















and we also cooked different andalucian food, like gazpacho, a cold soup made of tomato, garlic, bread, and some other vegetables.
